There has been a Go-Fund Me account started in efforts to STOP Prestage from entering Mason City, IA and our surrounding rural communities. Here is the link! https://www.gofundme.com/noprestage . In addition to a Go-Fund Me account being started there is also an account at Clear Lake Bank and Trust! The account name is "No Prestage" just stop into any Clear Lake Bank and Trust location. Donations can remain anonymous. Every donation helps, great or small! Thank You in advance!

On May 3rd three Mason City Council members Bill Schickel, Alex Kuhn, and John Lee voted NO blocking the development agreement with Prestage. We ask these councilmen who said NO to honor that and keep Prestage out of North Iowa! Learn more at http://noprestage.org

We are getting so near to 500 names and I can barely believe how quickly this is moving (it makes my head spin a bit) but we really need a final burst of energy to get that number high enough to show the council we aren't going anywhere. If you could just find one place to post this link right now it would be a huge help because the pressure needs to stay way up if we want to stop this thing for good.

Looking at the numbers climb and feeling pretty energized because hitting that first hundred is going to force them to acknowledge we are not going anywhere (and seriously just tell a neighbor or relative about this right now). I know we are all busy but the council is definitely tracking this and we have to keep the pressure on them until they decide to listen.

These kind of projects often take years to sort out the ramifications. Taking only a few months is not sufficient to fully appreciate the complexity. Why does a private enterprise get closed door treatment with a publicly accountable agency? This seems very sketchy.

Reaffirm a resounding NO! Look at the other Iowa towns that have been devastated by slaughterhouses'. Prestige only cares about profits, not its employees and their safety, the communities surrounding the slaughterhouse or the environmental impacts.

Prestige is not the kind of "development" which will result in the types of "growth" which will enhance prosperity in Mason City or the surrounding area. As a property owner in Mason City, I am strongly opposed to this project.

Please stay with no to prestige. May 3rd globe gazette had a good article on people not wanting flood of people into their communities. School can not handle it especially with firing of superintendent!!!!!

Mason City needs quality jobs that pay a living wage so that families can actually prosper and put back in the community! There will be no growth and no benefit if people are not paid a living wage. The environment is equally important!

You, Prestage, made big promises that turned out to be lies down here in SW Iowa. You should be run out of this state because you have cost us all a lot of quality of life and just ruin rural communities.
