Seeing one hundred people stand up for Mr. Burtner means the world to me. He has been such a mentor to my brother and I am relieved to see so many others recognize his value.

We are gaining momentum and getting closer to the benchmark that forces the board to acknowledge us. I need everyone to send the link to three people who know how much Mr. Burtner has done for this school. We have to keep this momentum moving before the board meeting happens.

The administration should work to support the teachers on the front line, not use scare tactics to beat them into submission. Without good teachers our children suffers and our community suffers.
This guy fostered a love in the arts for a lot of kids. Unless he did something really heinous this would be a huge loss for the district.
I had MR. Burtner and i enjoyed every minute of his class, he is a very funny and kind person. His stories always made every day memorable. I was pregnant during the time i was in his class and he was super understanding and out of all my teachers he was the only one to show up to my house every week to pick up my school work and bring new work.
My daughter told me what happened to this teacher, he must be an excellent teacher and cared about by so many students. I pray this man gets his job back.
I never really liked English that much but when it comes to Mr Burtner I love it. I got a D in English in 9th and 10th grade. This year my junior year i am oassing with an A because of his wonderful teaching skills. He makes class where it can be fun but then if he must he lays down the law.

He made English both enjoyable and bearable for me. He's the one teacher who took his time to understand his students. He taught in such a unique way that helped not only me but a lot of his other students, too.
