This petition has been created to collect signatures in support of Mr. Nathan Stump. Mr.Stump is the current principal at Mifflin Elementary. Due to downsizing happening within the district, Mifflin will close at the end of this school year. It was brought to my attention recently that Mr.Stump has been informed that his position is the administrative position that will be recommended for suspension. Per policy 1540 this recommendation is decided on by the Superintendent Rob Peterson, which will then be brought to the board for the board to vote on. I will be presenting this petition to Mr. Peterson in hopes that he will make a different recommendation. I feel that Mr. Stump should not be the Elementary Administrator who loses his position with the district. Mr. Stump has the most seniority and is the highest evaluated among the current Elementary Administrators. Not to mention the fact that Mifflin is one of the higher rated Elementary schools in the district, that to me is a testament to the Administrator of that building. Mr. Stump is also the districts gifted coordinator and an important asset to the district in my opinion. I would encourage the Superintendent to consider all of these things when making his recommendation, and it not be based solely on the fact that it's Mr. Stump's building that's closing so it's Mr.Stump who has to go. Nor should it be based on any political or personal reasons. I don't think that is fair, and would be a huge injustice to the students of this district. If you agree, I strongly encourage you to sign this petition and stand with me in support of Mr.Stump. Time is of the essence as I believe this will probably be on the agenda for the March board meeting. So we need to act quickly to prepare and present this petition. This is especially important for the Mifflin community and families. I personally was shocked to find out that he was the one at risk of losing his position, and quite frankly it feels like a slap in the face. First our school is the one to be closed and now they want to take our Principal too? Do we, the Mifflin community of this district have no voice? Please make your voice heard and sign this petition and share with anyone who may be affected by this as well.
Prayers that he gets to stay and continue to do amazing at his job
He has been a wonderful person to our family as he has supported along side our SUPERHERO Braxton while fighting childhood cancer

He was great with my Grandson Morgan. When they were short staffed, he would step and feed him. What other caring principles would do this for their students?

Mr. Stump has seniority and has the ONLY elementary school that received a Presidential award. Why would you get rid of such an asset to the community's young generation?

Do the right thing and keep this wonderful educator that Mifflin loves! Our kids are already losing their school, don't make an already unfortunate situation worse! Our family stands with Mr. Stump!

The loss of Mr Stumps job should be decided based on qualifications, accomplishments and seniority throughout the district, not just the closing of Mifflin School.

Best principal hands down. My oldest son is the reason we chose to open enroll to Mifflin based on his physical needs, we have 2 more children that also go to Mifflin. The best school, staff and principal. None of this should be political or personal!
