Mr. Burtner made such a difference in my life, he's the reason I am going to school to be a teacher.

He made English both enjoyable and bearable for me. He's the one teacher who took his time to understand his students. He taught in such a unique way that helped not only me but a lot of his other students, too.

I had the pleasure of meeting and talking with Mr. Burtner this summer at an SGA function at my house. All I can say is that this man deserves all of our support, he believes in our kids and their abilities. He is a teacher who encourages our kids to think for themselves, to believe they have a voice and can change things. Mr. Burtner is awesome, and the administrators should encourage his efforts not be fearful of them.

Mr. Burtner was one of the teachers that left a lasting impression on me. I learned all sorts of life lessons from him, not just information out of a text book. His position at the school should never be questioned in my opinion

Mr. Burtner is one of the best teachers that the Waynesboro Area School District has to offer. As a previous student of his, he made English, a topic I never liked, very interesting and fun. Along with that, he is extremely personable and will help anyone in a time of need. Mr. Burtner needs to stay at the school district to keep educating the young minds of tomorrow and keep engaging them and making them love listening and becoming educated members of society.

I had Mr.Burtner as my English teacher my junior year, he taught the normal curriculum but he also taught valuable life lessons every day. My senior year he was like a mentor to me and I have kept in touch with him via email ever since. He and his wife even attended my wedding. He is the greatest teacher the waynesboro school district could ever hope to employ and I think it is ridiculous that his job would be at stake for any reason.

I had Mr. Burtner for my 11th grade advanced English class and he was probably one of the best teachers I've ever had and made coming to class enjoyable! I don't know why his job would be at stake he's one of the few great ones left at waynesboro.
