Woodbury School District just announced their decision to not renew Mr. Aaron Weber’s contract for the 2024/25 school year. We believe this to be a terrible, misguided decision and implore the district’s administration and board of education to save Mr. Aaron’s job.

Why: Mr. Aaron is more than just the outstanding Art Teacher for all students attending Evergreen, Walnut and West End Schools. He is a pillar within our community. Outside of the classroom, he has dedicated his life to sharing his passion for art and the positive impact it can have on our children. For years, Mr. Aaron has been the lead teacher for the Art in the Street program. He also participates in key after school events like Paint Night with Mr. Aaron, faithfully attends community events to interact with his students, volunteers with FAF and even paints murals within our city. Mr. Aaron is a standout teacher and a fantastic role model who inspires our children through art. Woodbury School District needs Mr. Aaron. By signing this petition, you are telling the administration and board of education to save Mr. Aaron’s job so he can continue to inspire our children.

One hundred signatures now live on this page and the local bureaucrats at Woodbury School District are already starting to feel the heat. They think they can fire an educator who actually cares about our kids without a fight but they are dead wrong.

The Woodbury School District administration is still ignoring us while they try to push Mr. Aaron out. We need to hit 100 signatures right now to force these bureaucrats to look at the reality of how much this community values a teacher who actually cares.

Aaron is an amazing art teacher. He is fun and kind and loves his students. My favorite part of his teaching style is his focus on modern day non traditional artists. It really emphasizes the importance of art 'today', for the next generation of young artists.

There are not enough teachers on any given day in schools, let alone one that will go above and beyond, spend his after hours time guiding students. Why would his contract not be renewed!

I have known Aaron for a number of years through the Art in the Street program. He has always treated by non-public school children just as he does all his school students --with love and respect.

2/3 of my kids come home so full of excitement with their art projects when they’ve had art with Mr.Aaron. My daughter wants to be an artist because of Mr.Aaron has inspired her to be. Without him, she may not have that dream.

Aaron was the art teacher at my summer camp in 2007/2008. All these years later I still have excellent memories of my experiences with him as a camp counselor. These children deserve to have memories and experiences like I did, don’t take this away from them by eliminating Aaron’s job!!

My daughter loves Me. Weber! When he first entered teaching at GCIT I attended. I am the class of 2011- he was awesome then and still is. My daughter loves him. He’s fun, and active in the community. This is a huge mistake.
