Save Blidworth Green Belt campaign is fighting plans to build up to 300 houses on Green Belt land and other green field sites in the village.
Newark and Sherwood District Council have recently put forward the plans for consultation. We're asking all residents and friends of Blidworth to say NO to building on Green Belt land and NO to unnecessary and unwanted development.
The latest plans are for
100 houses on The Meadows
54 houses on Dale Lane
25 houses off Marriott Lane
10 houses on Belle Vue Lane
And many more to come!
Sign the petition before 24th November 2011 and add your voice to the campaign to Save Blidworth Green Belt
Seeing this whole thing blow up is honestly surreal because I thought maybe my actual neighbors would care but now it feels like the whole world is shouting about these fields right along with me. It makes me want to go walk the trails at The Meadows just to make sure the grass is still there (which it is, thankfully) even though it is pouring rain outside.

Too much building going on already. We moved here for the countryside not to be surrounded by concrete. LEAVE IT ALONE.

Keep the village a village. Schools and roads cant even handle the traffic we have now let alone 300 more houses absolute madness.
