The city finally reversed their decision and the dam will remain untouched. I am truly drained by this fight but grateful that we managed to hold our ground together.

Reaching this point has been an exhausting uphill climb but seeing this level of concern tells me we are not alone in wanting to protect the dam. I am tired of fighting this battle yet your response proves that this landscape is worth the effort to keep whole.

this was the place i learned to catch a fish with my hands... it would be sat if rocky lost this gem
why take out the dam when we have enough troubles with the river flooding? And the fact that that's where everyone likes to hangout and fish at. I can count numerous people who like to fish there, and I'm one of those people! Save the dam!
We have lost enough in the Island Park already. Lets not let this disappear also.
Improve the dam if necessary, but do not remove it. That is one of, if not the, most iconic fixtures in Lyon County.
The bridge is a landmark 8 our town and has so many fond memories based around it. my Grandmother has a bench that was donated in her name over looking the big dam and it would stir up a lot of emotions in my family of that view were gone.

Save the dam so many great memories there camping with the kids and it is so relaxing hearing the water fall from the dam ad you sit there fishing or camping!and it's beautiful to see!
