We, the undersigned, are strongly opposed to the damming of the Raccoon River and the associated creation and development of Dream Lake by WestWolf or any other developer. We strongly request that area city governments, Dallas County, state and federal officials, do everything in their power to protect the Raccoon River Valley in Dallas County by preventing the Dream Lake project. Damning this river will have adverse environmental impact and negatively affect this waterway\'s natural scenic beauty already being enjoyed; endanger and significantly destroy wildlife and habitat; adversely impact water flow and water quality; flood and forever bury cultural Native American burial grounds and sacred sites, rare geological rock formations, homes, farmland and conservation areas.
Seeing 250 names on this list gives me hope that we can actually protect the riverbanks where my grandfather taught me to fish. I feel a real shift in the air now that so many of you are looking closely at what WestWolf wants to do to our valley.

I have been spending my mornings walking the riverbanks and thinking about how much of this landscape faces total destruction if WestWolf gets their way. My kitchen table is piled high with maps and legal documents while I prepare to meet with local officials who still refuse to look at the historical data we have collected. Please keep looking at those photos of the valley because we cannot let them forget what is actually at stake here.

The river is beautiful just how it is. We dont need another fake lake destroying the land and our water supply. Leave it alone!

THIS IS ABSURD. Why would anyone want to ruin native sites and destroy farmland for some luxury development. Keep your hands off our valley.

i grew up fishing in the racoon. it would be a shame to lose all that history because developers want to make a quick buck.
