Let's put a stop to this proposal of building 4 houses were the Angel Pub stands. Why would we need any more houses in are village. This pub has everything to offer and more and is a big part of are village. Please sign and share this petition to keep Angel Public House
The petition has surpassed two hundred and fifty signatures. I am currently finalizing a formal letter to the local planning department that outlines our objections based on the community value of the Angel Public House.

The scale of this response proves the community interest in retaining this site. I have scheduled a meeting with the planning committee to present these signatures and outline our formal objection.

We are approaching the one hundred signature mark which is the threshold required for the planning committee to formally acknowledge our objection. Please direct your contacts to this page to finalize that total so we can submit the documentation to the council office.

Closing the welfare killed the night life in clowne, now the only decent pub left your going to take that away too. Soon the village won't have any kind of night life left. Don't close the Angel a lot of good memories have been had by all there and we want many more!!

There is enough new housing being built in other places throughout the village, there is no need to demolish one of the only good pubs in the area. Tearing this down means less amenities for a village trying to attract more homeowners! Why would people move somewhere where this is less and less to do.

We don't need more houses, the support network in Clowne can't cope as it is, eg both the infant and junior schools are already full to capacity in old outdated buildings and you can't get doctors appointments when you need one

If the Angel gets closed it will only be a matter of time before some of the takeaways start to close due to lack of business. Why can't the powers to be see this will be a devastating blow to the community. Guess the decision makers don't live in Clowne so ultimately don't care!
