The Pheasant, Welland is currently closed and its condition an eyesore. We understand that there will be a proposal to replace it with housing within the next 12 to 18 months, but we the undersigned would prefer to see this village amenity retained as a Public House. Please sign the petition if you would like to see this building remain as a pub. Any questions, Please don't hesitate to ask. We would like to hear your views regardless of if you agree or not. e-mail:  s[email protected]

The silence from the planning side is heavy but I am still here working through the emails and messages you keep sending me. It is draining to watch the building crumble while we wait for an answer that may never come on our terms. We are not backing down yet.

Welland needs a place for people to actually meet up. Please save our pub instead of building more boring boxes.

So sad to see it boarded up like that. Spent so many good nights in there years ago.

Keep it as a pub! Stop turning everything into overpriced housing estates.

Used to be the heart of the community. Fix it up and let someone run it properly.

AN EYESORE is right. Just fix the roof and open the doors back up already.

The village is dying without a local pub. We have enough new houses already that nobody even asked for.
