The board finally confirmed the academy will remain at our current location. I am drained from this long fight but relieved that our cadets have the security they deserve. We should stay alert to ensure these promises hold firm in the long run.
We, the parents, friends, and supporters of Paul R. Brown Leadership Academy, petition Bladen County Schools and the Bladen County Board Of Education to allow our academy to remain in the building located at 1300 Martin Luther King Drive, Elizabethtown, North Carolina. The cadets enrolled in our academy deserves a stable environment in which to learn and grown. We ask that you sign this petition to help us keep our school doors open so that we can continue creating tomorrow's leader through character, academics, discipline, and athletics.
Reaching this level of support feels heavy because it proves how many of us refuse to let this school fade away. The road ahead looks long and the opposition is stubborn but I am not stopping now.

This academy has made a positive impact on my son as well as other cadets. People wanted it to fail from the start but it is a success. We can't allow our academy to closed.

I would love to see this school continue to progress as well as keep making positive changes in our children and the community. I have two children and they both attend this school. My son is the Battalion Commander and a tenth grader and my daughter is a seventh grader. They both love the school and I will do anything and everything possible to support them and their school. The school has done an outstanding job working with the students. I have also noticed the support of other parents as well. Keep the signing going....whether you have a child here or not, do it for me if no-one else. Thank you everyone for all of your time, thoughts, consideration and prayers in advance
