The Heron Bay PTA would like the support of all parents, alumni, and community members as we fight against the Ministry and closure of our primary schools.
We are demanding a consultation criteria, which binds the ministry to consult with the parents in all momentous decisions regarding our schools and children.We need to send a message as we stand behind our schools and fight for our children. We cannot allow them to continue to diminish education; the foundation of this country. We urge you to please sign this petition, and join the fight to save our schools!

I have been spending my nights reading through the comments you all left and they are absolutely heartbreaking. My own child asks me every day if their classroom will still be here next term. We are currently preparing a formal letter to deliver to the Ministry because they cannot continue to ignore the parents who built this community.

Seeing this level of support for Heron Bay hits home because I know exactly how many memories are woven into these classrooms. This momentum proves the Ministry cannot just ignore our children and expect us to stay quiet.

I believe that Heron Bay is much needed..It is in a neighbourhood with young families.To transfer students to the west end is not only inconvenient..but is poor judgement. .Heron Bay is in a location to absorb Warwick and Southampton students,.It is also a wonderful school with great teachers and team spirit! Do not close this wonderful school !
My Husband and his siblings along with my children and my nieces and nephews (to which two of them still attend) want HB to remain open as well as the other schools which are in jeopardy of closing. Gov't needs to find other alternatives.
I have two children that attend and like the school very much. I even pulled them from Private school and placed therm there as i feel hey are getting a better Education. In addition has anyone even considered the gridlock of traffic that this is going to cause on morning commutes?
Heron Bay is a wonderful school.. Its nice and small which creates a very intimate environment for a child to learn , to get the best education and receive assistance needed to succeed. I love my son's teacher Mrs. Roberts but all of them are wonderful teachers. My son is in P3 and he is doing excellent getting all A's and B's on his report card.. I am proud of his progress and i want my daughter to attend in September as well.. Please put our children first and SAVE OUR SCHOOLS!!
Please keep Heron Bay School open. This is a good school with deep roots in the Southampton community. As a former head girl of Heron Bay I can say that a small school setting offered exceptional education for me and all my siblings and peers.
Govermemt needs to find a way to keep our Primary schools open,it,s a must.
It's been a convenient location for my children to go and come home without me looking for transportation. ..heron bay school is full of love and all my children have/and do love their school.

Heron Bay is not just a school it is family and all local primary schools needs be one streamed with a teacher n para educator all kids are diffrent and therefor learn differently. Thank you Heron Bay for your support over the years proud mother of two who attend Heron Bay Primary
