Our local postie is officially back on his route after Australia Post reversed their decision. Knowing he is back at the helm of our mail delivery makes me so relieved for our community. We will keep a close eye on things from here to make sure this stability lasts.

I have been hearing stories from so many of you about how much our mail delivery person means to our daily routines. It is clear that this was not just a job to him but a vital connection to the whole town. I am currently reaching out to local representatives to ensure they understand why this decision is so damaging to our community.

How can this be true?! Our local postie Ginge is one of the friendliest, most professional and hardworking people I know. Small country towns do not need more cuts to services in what is a cost cutting measure rather than about efficiency of service. This decision would not help Australia Post's PR in the country AT ALL.
Our postie is fantastic. He represents Australia Post in the best possible light. Great service, terrific communication. The children just adore seeing him. He gives that extra touch and care for the elderly in our community. I would hate to see him go. Why! Australia Post.
This is unbelievable how are we supposed to pay our bills,access Commonwealth bank accounts, get oackages ,letters ect, drive 20 mins out of our way to Robe. Why can't the government just back off & leave Small country & Costal towns alone. I hope our local government stand up for us & prevents this from happening.
Another resource taken from the people of the Kingston. The local postie does a brilliant job and provides a vital service to the town. Another job taken from the town as well. Another reason to try to alternatives like Sendle. Loyalty is a two way street!
I am director at the local kindy and our children look forward every day to our local postie to come and deliver the mail. He is a large part of our community and it would be devastating to lose him

Yet another classic example of a business trying to save money by sacking the workers and not getting rid of the fat cats at the top, rural Communities revolve around basic services and Ginge delivering our mail is one of them!!!
