This petition has been set up to save our Wawne village postman Christopher Ward. Royal Mail have sadly decided to relocate Chris to a different area after 17 years of working in Wawne. This decision will mean a sad loss to many of the villagers who have built up a friendly relationship with Chris. He has become part of our community. Please reconsider your decision Royal Mail to relocate him as his relocation will mean a sad loss of a village member and community friend.

Royal Mail is finally starting to feel the heat because of your incredible response to this injustice. They think they can just move a pillar of our community like a chess piece but we are proving them wrong.

Seems silly to move a very good and respected postman from one position to another, leaving 2 postmen not knowing their areas and having to start from the beginning! As a village with some older and vulnerable residents I feel Chris provides a friendly face of certainty on top of doing a stand up job for Royal Mail!
I would like to say this is the second time royal mail have tried to move our postman Chris, I would hope our petition will work once again.
Why would you relocate Christopher after 17 years of loyal service. Who ever is responsable for this idea needs to stand up and be counted, or is it a person behind a desk with no pratical experience and no idea of community. Christopher is a wonderful part of our village. Please explain the motive and reconsider.
Chris knows everyone in the village,which really helps with vulnerable residents like my mum and brother It would be sad to lose him and be replaced with a stranger
He has been our postman for over 15 years, and he knows all the villagers and provides us all with excellent professional service, if we are not in he knows exactly who he can leave out parcels with.

I taught Chris in the 1980s and you could not have wished to have a better pupil. He has remained his friendly and helpful self ever since. We must not lose him.
