Royal Mail is still ignoring our messages but we are gathering the facts about the extra travel costs for our seniors. Send a brief email to your local representative today to demand they address this closure. Post the petition link on Facebook to ensure our neighbors know what is at stake.

We hit our first major milestone today and the pressure on Royal Mail is finally mounting. Post this status on Facebook right now to keep the momentum going until they reverse this closure plan.

It would be the older residents that would suffer most, having to travel miles for there pensions.
We need it open for the whole village to use think of the OAPs and local businesses that use it, why not find a new post master
Whenever I use this sorting office, there is a steady stream of customers and I know that a lot of people depend on the service it provides. Despite the passing of David, it remains in very capable hands and its closure would be a disgrace and a travesty!
Please don't let cut backs discriminate once more against the most vulnerable in our communities.
It will be very difficult for a lot of people in the village to travel to Worksop for parcels.

To gain access to the sorting office in Worksop from Carlton involves a lengthy drive into and around the town (using one-way streets) and when you get there, parking is very restricted. A nightmare ! If they are determined to close this particular post office, postal parcels could be collected at the other location in Beckett Avenue (or better still have a post office in the Long Lane shopping area). Failing all that, collection should be better located at the office in Langold - which would be considerably easier to access.
