We call upon Wrexham council executive board not to transfer ownership of council owned land to Glyndwr university as it would not be in the interest of the community.

We hit five hundred signatures today. It has been a long road and the weight of this fight is starting to show, but it is clear that this community will not be ignored.

The exhaustion is setting in but watching the count climb toward five hundred keeps me moving forward. Please find someone who lives nearby and send them the link because we need to hit that milestone before the board meets.

The feedback from local residents keeps coming in and it is clear how much this field sustains our neighborhood. I am exhausted by the silence from the council office but I have no intention of walking away from this fight.

Acton Community has a deficit of play provision amounting to 21 acres. To sell off this field would increase the deficit which is against planning policy. This field is used by many people. Shame on Wrexham Council for even considering it.

Please do not sell this land off to Glyndwr Uni, this field is used by various organisations and as it’s the only field around that they can use, this would be a total waste. No more houses, we have enough, the schools and Surgery cannot cope with the amount already. We are well over our limit.

I think there was a report recently showing that there are around 1,00 houses standing empty in Wrexham. Fill them before you start taking away the few green spaces that remain in the town.

This field belongs to the people. It is used regularly. And what about the extra traffic Dean Road is already congested at certain times of the day. The schools won’t be able to cope same with doctors. Life is hard enough without taking away small pleasures like walking your dog

I love playing football on this field. We live in a flat facing it and I use it like my garden. I have played on here since I was 1,building snowmen, having picnics and playing football. Please dont take it away,I want to make memories om there with my little sister as she grows. Alfie, age 7

I fully back this petition to save Dean Road field. The field is used daily by the public for uses such as dog walking, recreational play & the local football clubs. It would be a huge loss of green space, building on this land is completely unjustified.

If the council wish to take these football fields away for more housing and more children where are they going to play sports, the future of Welsh football will suffer long term.

To lose this field to houses or just left fenced off is a real shame. I loved going there to watch my kids play football and feel sorry for the kids that play now that they’ve lost their pitch.
