A wonderful man who has helped thousands of students express themselves and flourish. It's easy to cut the arts. But education isn't about what's easy or makes the most sense, it's about what will benefit the student. Removing this outlet will make the education of Burnsville High School suffer immensely.

Having worked with the BHS theatre team since 2006, I am saddened that it is being threatened. Clearly the powers to be have no clue what the program, lead by Mr Day since 1994, has contributed to the school, students ("Theater Kids") and community. Shame on you.

Please don't let Theater go. Not every student is an athlete, or a whiz kid. Kids need to express themselves one way or another. And this, is a different and beautiful way. I watched my little brother flourish with Mr. Day and the BHS acting community. Please, keep the arts alive!

Mraz Center is recognized throughout the Twin Cities as a rate gem, a high school theatre that stages productions better than most professional theatre companies. And the reason for that is Randy Day. His theatre savvy and dedication to his art and to his company is unparalleled.

I'm a BHS 2014 Alum & Mr. Day taught me so much, he was the one I could count on to push me. He saw a talent in me I didn't even see, he made me realize the my potential & inspires me to this day. He was a tough guy but the greatest role model I could of asked for to teach me in the theatre arts.

Randy Day is an inspirational individual and his efforts to communicate life lessons and values through the Theatre program is irreplaceable. Randy is the linchpin of the BHS Theatre and prepared myself and many others to succeed with the values he taught through Theatre.

Please reconsider we are loosing a true treasure!
