This E-petition is aimed at getting something done about the state of the flats at Highwood Court.
Are you facing issues with damp, mould, drafty windows, cracks appearing in walls and ceilings or something else ?
Its about time the money we pay in rent was put back into the upkeep of the flats. I for one am sick of calling because of mould growing on the furniture and even on my clothes in the wardrobe. When they visit all you get told is air the flat more and turn the heating on.
Well the windows get opened and the storage heaters are on full but guess what. It makes no difference apart from denting my wallet.
The general condition of the flats is apaulling and we should not have to live like this. The bathrooms and kitchens need updating. The walls and ceilings need work. The windows are draughty and fill with water.
Its nice to see they painted the cladding outside to hide the general state of disrepair inside.
Lets get something done and force Sanctuary housing to sort this once and for all. I know many tenents have issues and dont seem to get anywhere when dealing with the repair team at Sanctuary.
We need to stick together on this and force them into doing something. Please sign this petition and stand up. It cant be good living in these conditions and most of us have kids that also sleep in mouldy damp rooms while laid under a ceiling that could collapse on them.
I will be setting up a website where you can register and post your issues / concerns regards your flat. Leaflets will be distributed containing the address once ive set everything up.

They wouldn't put up with it if their offices were this run down so why should we live like it. It would seem its not just Highwood court thats affected so it might be an idea to approach Watchdog if we can get enough interest from Sanctuary residents in general.

Time for Sanctuary to give us a housing officer that actually visits. It took them 12 months to replace a cracked window, the heater for my dinning room has "been on order" for 18 months, I have no intercom so have to run down 2 flights of stairs to the see who's ringing my buzzer. we have cracking in the walls and little things like our door bell hasn't worked for the 2 years we've lived here. takes the piss!!!!
