We had the same issue - where I live and one where I work. Car users have no respect for pedestrians- ready to mow you down - no easy access to cross, until pelican crossing established. In front school especially important.

I would like to see a safer crossing installed outside the school as this is busy road and the school has no lollipop lady hence it is difficult to cross the road.

As a childminder I'm up at school with 5/6 children and it's always been hard trying to cross the road safely , we always have to rely on the driver to stop before we can cross which can sometimes be quite a long time

Something needs to be done the road is so dangerous with speeding cars, doubled parked vechiels and drivers insisting on doing 3 point turns. We did have yellow lines outside the school which made a huge difference but after 1 month they have been covered over

Dear Sir/Madam,
Please hear our concerns as parents and install a pedestrian crossing.
Nightingale Road is a very busy main road, used by buses, HGV vehicles, cars and pedestrians.
A crossing with the relevant lighting will make this crossing safer for all and encourage drivers to slow down.
Kind Regards
Rose
