Today, Monday, June 29th 2015, at the Ribfest in Toronto - Etobicoke, most of us got parking ticket fines. It is unjust because the organization didn't have enough parking for everyone, the usual parking place was closed and the police told us to go to the other side. When we arrived there all the parking spots were taken, so we parked on a grass field (normal in many festivals), without blocking any passages and all lined up (more than 50 cars).
We should all protest together, this ruins the festival spirit and doesn't look well for the Toronto police, City Hall and Rotary Etobicoke.

This is unacceptable for the toronto police to do this to people on Canada Day. Every other year people park on the grass because there is literally not enough areas to park
I live in the area so I am fortunate to be able to walk to Ribfest. I am signing this petition to support those that were affected by the terrible injustice of $100 parking fines.
half of parking for the event was used up by construction for the pan am games - there was no signs indicating that parking was prohibited - this was a charity event for the Rotary for a good cause and the police are using it to generate revenue - ticketing these people will drive them away from this charity event in the future
not fare at all when you are directed to park by officers or event holders , and get ticketed when there are no sighns posted , ticket will be fought in court
Totally ridiculous ! We were told to park on the grass .. Then you get a 100$ ticket for a festival that you should of enjoyed with your family ! I could of just paid to go to wonderland .
Had to pay a ticket that was wrongfully giving at ribfest. This is an outrage to con people to park and then ticket people $100.00 where is the justice.
Where else do you expect us to park the event is in the suburbs ... what about people that had to drive from brampton etc to get to the event.

This was very inequitable and unjust. Officers directed traffic away from one lot And in to another area. So everyone followed suit. Every year parking is on " non parking lot permisses." Why is this area different then the area they blocked off?
