Bell's Tavern once stood at 12500 Apache Ave in Savannah, GA and provided a peaceful setting on the water to enjoy a serene and quiet escape for a romantic dinner or intimate conversation between friends. The restaurant had floating docks and deck space to enjoy the Low Country views, a peaceful location to appreciate the outdoors, great food and wonderful people. Boaters loved the opportunity to spend time on the water fishing or having family time, then retiring afterwards to Bell's Tavern where they could enjoy quality Low Country cuisine.

Unfortunately, on February 16th, 2006 the restaurant burned to the ground and this once enjoyable meeting place has since become a vacant lot, a shadow of its former glory. To make matters worse, the city of Savannah did a mass rezoning of land and this beautiful location was re-designated R3 for small residential development. Our intention is to bring back the business zoning, re-designating this land as BM in order to rebuild a quiet escape on the water for the community and boaters to enjoy.

In the July/August 2022 issue of "Savannah" magazine you find that of all the many restaurants between Savannah, Tybee Island, Hilton Head and Richmond Hill, only five of them actually have dock space and only ONE of them is actually located in Savannah! With our rezoning, we can bring Savannah a second restaurant on the water for boaters and our community to enjoy this natural beauty once more.
