The commissioners approved our rezoning request this afternoon. I am deeply appreciative of these 586 signatures that helped demonstrate the community interest in our family project. We look forward to moving ahead with the restaurant while honoring the history of this land.

Please sign our petition in support of rezoning the Weeks Family plot at the intersection of county R. 26 & 49 in Magnolia Springs, Alabama. We seek to build a quaint creole style family restaurant that may be accompanied by a small boutique style shop. We have created this petition in order to solidify local support for our venture. Our first of two meetings with the county zoning department didn’t go our way, which means we need local support! The final meeting, where our case is presented to the county commissioners, is coming up in December. The signatures on this petition will be very instrumental in the commissioners decision!

MAKE MAGNOLIA CREOLE AGAIN!

Check out the video Grant and Maritza Weeks made while in college! This video gives a synopsis of the Weeks Family history in the Magnolia Springs area and their goal in a restaurant concept! Please support our dream and sign the petition.

I have lived here over 40 years. This will be a welcome addition to our Magnolia Springs community. Any long time resident that visited Blanche’s years ago would say the same.

I am not a big supporter of change. When I saw the property being cleared, I just knew changes were coming. How happy I was when I realized the changes were returning us to our roots and not moving us further away. Ms. Blanche was a very revered member of our community and families. I gladly support her legacy continuing!

I grew up in Magnolia Springs next to Blanche's resturant and miss the food that they served there. This would be awesome for Grant Weeks to bring back the Creole cooking back to Magnolia Springs!!!

Not only should this be approved, I would be willing to invest in it. This is the sort of unique LOCAL development that makes Baldwin County, Baldwin County.

This will be a positive business for Magnolia Springs and fit the quaint, historic setting. Much better fit than a gas station or dollar store!

Bringing back the Weeks family restaurant will add to the character of Magnolia Springs. This area was founded by Creoles. How awesome to bring history back through amazing Creole cooking!!!

Good luck. We'd love to see this happen. It's in a perfect location--"on the other side of the river. " :)
