Tell The Town of Washington to Restore Funding for ASAP
For the second year in a row, The Town of Washington has decided to cut $5,000 in support for ASAP from its annual budget. ASAP has traditionally depended on this funding, which it received every year from 2003 to 2011. Our current selectmen are simply not recognizing how vital ASAP is to our community, both culturally and economically. ASAP not only provides much needed arts education for our children, but also provides jobs for area artists and brings significant business to the town of Washington by attracting visitors and tourists to various special events. We need your help. Please sign this petition, and please pass it along to fellow Washington residents and businesses urging the selectmen to vote to put $5,000 for ASAP back into the Washington town budget. Also, if you can attend the Board of Finance meeting on Monday, April 22 at 5:00pm we would appreciate your support. Thank you.
