This petition seeks to establish the following amenities
1) Motorized/remote operated security entry gates,
2) Pool
3) Playground
It has been brought to the attention of the residents at The Bluffs of Stonehaven that there are recurring problems with unlicensed solicitors and other concerning situations involving unwanted and dangerous individuals entering and approaching the residents in our neighborhood on a regular basis. This is concerning enough that we have residents that are selling their homes and moving to gated communities. We are also aware that there are several comparable gated communities (within North SA) that have amenities including a pool, playground & security gate and are paying the same or very close to the same amount for their HOA fees as the Residents at The Bluffs of Stonehaven. (See the list of other neighborhoods attached). The increase in the traffic on Old Paseo Way is also a concern for our residents (especially our children). Boerne ISD school bus picks up and drops off our children at the entrance of The Bluffs on Parasio Gate, the traffic that is coming up and down Old Paseo Way drive way too fast and may be unaware of this school bus stop. With the mentioned increase in traffic, it is also going to invite more traffic of the unwanted and dangerous individuals that are already entering our neighborhood because we are the only section that is not gated.
We,
the undersigned, are concerned residents who urge our HOA manager to act now to
install security gates at all access roads to The Bluffs (see attached map with
requested gates marked) or one entry gate at the entrance of Stonehaven, a pool
and a playground for our children and families to utilize just as the other
gated communities are provided access to at the same and or close to the same
cost of HOA fees that we pay.

Great ideas if there is no increase or minimal increase in HOA dues. Some of our residents are retired and on a fixed income.
We have bought a house in the neighborhood and are moving next month. We would love to see a pool and park added. Any extra safety features get my vote as well.
Hi, if we lived in this neighborhood right now, we would probably gladly sign this petition. We are probably going to buy a house in this neighborhood, and I would love to know how you like living here. We are just about to sign a contract, and I'm just doing my due diligence. Any insights are welcome!
I have lived in gated communities before and I'm sorry to say but it didn't stop the criminal activity one bit. In fact, we had more than the one down the road who didn't have the gates installed. Most of the time the crime comes from within and very few times, they come from the other side of the city, commit their crimes, and get back on the freeway. Cameras on street lights works very well in showing just who is coming and going. As for the Pool, I would love for our kids to have a pool. The neighborhood is becoming much bigger than they first anticipated and it would be a good upgrade. The Playground, would be a great addition but there would need to be a strict policy enforcement on pets and security for our kids. Comments are welcome.

It would be really nice to have a street light at the bus stop also. Grades K-5are out there in pitch black darknes. Very dangerous, especially with all the new traffic.

This is needed in our neighborhood to deter things such as the multiple recent break ins we have had in our neighborhood.
