The Issue
The sidewalks in Timber Trace have become a safety hazard for residents. Uneven and broken walkways make it difficult for us to navigate the neighborhood safely.
Individuals with mobility or balance issues, seniors or anyone walking for pleasure should be able to do so without risking their safety. According to the National Safety Council, falls are the third leading cause of unintentional injury-related deaths in the United States, underscoring why it's urgent for us to address this issue.
The city government has a process called PIAC (Public Improvement Advisory Committee) that your HOA will apply to for funding to prioritize the repair of our sidewalks. Funds are limited and dollars are more likely spent on projects that effect the most people.
To be successful, Timber Trace Board is asking that you help us demonstrate broad community support for approval of PIAC funding in the upcoming Kansas City municipal budget. Please endorse the Timber Trace HOA PIAC application by signing this petition to help make our neighborhood safer for all.
Thank you, Timber Trace Board of Directors
Someone is going to get seriously injured if these sidewalks are not repaired. We have several og these broken sidewalks surrounding our home!
