This petition supports the serious need for immediate repair of the deteriorated condition of the sidewalk on the west side of Penetanguishene Road south of Albert Street in Hillsdale, Ontario. Injuries continue to happen to children as a result of this and pedestrians are forced to detour onto a busy road to avoid injury. There is serious concern regarding the safety of our residents.
The local council continues to ignore the dangerous craters on Penetanguishene Road while residents keep risking their lives. I am finished with their excuses and their empty promises about public safety. We will keep the pressure on until they finally commit to fixing this death trap.

A safety hazard for sure and long overdue for repair. Also, something must be done about speeding on that stretch of road.

Sidewalks in this area along Hwy 93 in Hillsdale are so very very long overdue. Children should not be walking without them to get to the proper crossing guard cross walk. My children are 10 years past the age of elemtaey school. It was a probably back when they attended and still to date nothing has been done. Shameful

My toddler can't safely walk or ride that stretch and in the spring, we had to take to the road side because of the pools of water in the broken sections

I live in Hillsdale and agree the sidewalk is a danger and requires repair. My husband and I walk along there regularly and it is difficult to navigate.
