Reaching this level of visibility feels heavy because it confirms how many of us are struggling just to keep a roof over our heads. I am exhausted by this fight but seeing so many people finally say enough is enough keeps me moving forward.

Landlord hiked my rent 300 bucks this year. Where is that money even supposed to come from? I work 50 hours a week and still barely have enough for groceries. It's getting ridiculous.
my building was bought by some hedge fund in nyc and now they wont fix the leaks but keep asking for more cash every lease renewal. sick of this.

I'm stuck in the in between..can't afford the high rent increases but make a wee too much to get any aid. This has become a huge financial burden....and I'm not the exception. I have become the lower middle class rule...there are so many of us. I don't have the luxury as a single mom to have a partner to help with rent. Two kids at home and a crazy work schedule makes me a bad room mate. We need to come up with a solution IMMEDIATELY!
