The board officially approved the lease renewal for the Fauquier Fairgrounds this morning. We are now coordinating with the facility management team to finalize the permit paperwork for the upcoming season. I appreciate the commitment shown by the 524 people who helped us secure this outcome.

Fauquier Fairgrounds Facility Use Permit Renewal.

The Fauquier Freeze is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a safe, encouraging, and a fun environment to teach quality fastpitch softball and baseball to young women and men in Fauquier County. Our organization is committed to high academic standards, high sportsmanship standards, character development, and community service. Our organization’s dedication to the sport, academics, and community will: help them build self-esteem and good character; become well qualified candidates for college scholarships; and create responsible adults in our community.

The Fauquier Fairgrounds allows our players to grow as contributing members to the Fauquier Community. It provides a safe practice facility at a low cost, and provides a place for fundraisers to be held in order to obtain enough funds per team to continue playing tournaments and keeping player fees at a reasonable cost.

Not renewing the Fauquier Fairgrounds permit would force our organization consisting of 6 softball teams and 5 baseball teams to raise costs, and possibly prohibit many young men and women from having the opportunity to play on an organized team and develop much needed life skills.

By signing this letter, the individuals are encouraging the permit renewal for Fauquier Fairgrounds to be approved and to allow softball and baseball to continue activity at this site (6209 Old Auburn Rd, Warrenton, VA 20187).

We are approaching one hundred signatures which serves as the primary threshold for our presentation to the county board. I have requested a formal meeting with the zoning department to discuss this permit renewal. Please direct your contacts to the page now so we can finalize this count before the submission deadline.

I have been involved with youth baseball/softball for nearly 25 years. This organization is the best I've seen in that 25 years. It would be a shame to warch this organization move out of county possibly.

As current president of the Falcon Boosters Club at Fauquier High School , I ask the board to please approve the special permit for the Fauquier Fairgrounds. This facility is used by many organizations for special events. Many non-profit clubs use the fairground to benifits our local student/citizens with their education. Thank you.

I am currently a player for the Freeze 18u and this program has not only prepared me for college softball, but also given me great life skills. Where i have grown the most throughout the years is at the fairgrounds and taking that opportunity away from so many players, including myself, would not be right. Please renew this permit!!!

The Freeze Organization has been a positive influence on young children for a number of years. "The Barn" at the fairgrounds has been an iconic place for the Freeze and provides our children with a safe environment to learn the game of baseball and softball while fostering good moral values and how to work in a team environment.

This organization offers opportunities for competitive organized sports (softball and basebase) for kids in Fauquier and surrounding counties. My daughter played with this organization for 9 years and was recruited and now plays softball at the college level.

The location is prime for the Freeze families who reside in Farquier County. The Freeze organization has been mindful to the maintenance and upkeep of this facility!
