We're here for you! Sign here to protect private property rights in Fauquier County. At the July 11th public hearing the Fauquier Board of Supervisors approved the controversial Rural Lands chapter of the Comprehensive Plan. We are disappointed, yet united in our common cause, and want to work to protect our freedoms and private property rights going forward.

If you share these concerns of your fellow Fauquier citizens, please join with us. Please state in the comment section, below, whether you are a resident or property owner in Fauquier County. Thank you for your support!

The feedback from our community has been exhausting to process but vital to understand. I am spending my evenings reviewing property records and planning our next steps despite the quiet from the county offices. We are not backing down regardless of the administrative roadblocks.

Reaching this point in our fight feels like a genuine shift in the landscape. I am exhausted by the constant uphill climb but seeing this level of momentum proves we are not fighting alone.

I am a Fauquier County Resident. Please vote "no" on the proposed Rural Lands Draft Plan.

When the federal government issues a new regulation with public impacts, they must conduct a thorough cost benefit analysis. Has that been done here? What is the issue this change would solve? Why do it now? What is the next best alternative? What happens if they don't adopt it? What is the benefit and what does it cost the public (not just money, but rights, etc) If this analysis has been done, its important for the impacted public to see it.

No RLDP, please! Keep our existing Rural Lands chapter that had been so successful, and do not change Fauquier's Rural Lands.

Property owner. So vague. No to Pri ce William or Loudoun like changes that future BOS can squeak around to invite/approve more development.

I grew up in warrenton and have seen the change. NOT HAPPY. leave well enough alone. Fauquier is a great historic county and does NOT need to be part of the greater, TRASH, northern Va.

Please vote NO on the proposed RLDP . I have many concerns with this “total rewrite” of the Chapter 8 of the Fauquier Comprehensive Plan! The language is dense and vague, leaving much to be interpreted by the BoS . While the current BoS may understand the intent of this proposed amendment, future board members may not. This has the possibility of a very negative impact on private property rights as well as definitely increasing taxes as in our neighboring counties such as Loudoun and Prince William! Respectfully , Connie Jones
