San Francisco has experienced a significant decrease in rental rates over the past 9 months from 10-20% relative to the neighborhood. Although Presidio Residences are not subject to rent control they assert that their rates are competitive with the local market. Despite this assertion the rental rates have continued to increase and requests for decreases have been denied. Some long term residents are moving out and units remain open, not a fiscally irresponsible management policy in light of the current economy. We request a decrease in rent to match current markets and keep residents in their homes
