We as concerned TWU train operators and service personnel strongly disagree with the issuing of RED FLAGS for yard train inspections. We ask that Bulletin 50-15 dated 06.03.15 be suspended immediately until we come together with an idea that doesn't require handing out flags. Our bags and lockers are full! After reading this bulletin you will without a doubt understand why implementing this policy is serious cause for concern. We have rules and regulations that have kept our brothers and sisters safe for many years while inspecting the trains. Please sign this petition and send a message that this is not the way to put safety first.

The momentum is undeniable now. It is clear that we are all on the same page regarding these flags.

my back is already killing me with all this gear they make us carry now they want us to haul more flags around for inspections that dont even make sense its just extra weight for nothing
As if we don't already have enough ppe to lug around! Bags getting heavier every year
same issue as mostly everyone else upon full inspection of your train after retrieving the last flag someone can still jump on the back of your train and if you have no job that has put ins why are you required to have extra equipment that you will not use
I'm tired of all this new equipment .. I always pick extra, and toting this bag around is becoming a pain in my........... Enough already!!!
Flags are not the solution. Put conductors back on the put ins. More eyes and ears are better.

Would not have voted for the four designs but would vote for the first light red flag
