Seeing the momentum build for this recall makes me feel like we are finally being taken seriously regarding our children. Please post this link to your social media accounts today to push us over the threshold. We need to keep this pressure on until Eric Whitfield is gone.

Having 2 children in onslow county, 1 that has an IEP and receives services, I am appalled that our county voted this person in to represent and be a voice for our children. This man does not speak for my family or our community!
As the daughter of educators and now the mother of two daughters entering into the Onslow County School system I find this appalling. Clearly he had to have some understanding of the repercussions of such comments yet he said them anyway. Wow.
I am an educator with Onslow County Schools and I feel that anyone who openly says that he does not have the best interests of children at heart, should NOT be allowed to serve on a board that is truly all about children!
He doesn't even think that public school is good enough for his children as they go to private school. So how can he be trusted to put the best interest of the kids first when he doesn't even know anything about the public school.
I am a Republican and this man is a disgrace. I have two children that attend school here in Onslow County. This is not the kind of person I want handling my childrens education. He is vile and must be removed. Melissa Oakley for BOE!!!!!
He should not be placed In A position with children.
I absolutely do not support his position or outlook.

As a person of color the last thing I want is my daughter around someone who views her at someone different simply because of for skin. This is absolutely appalling how he even got to see in the 1st place. And it proves we're not paying as much attention as we should be when we're voting.
