It saddens me to see that sports and recreational facilities cannot be utilised by the community and then we wonder why our kids are taking up other hobbies like drugs....please reopen this facility.
Rosedale swimmingpool use to be where hundreds of kids and adults congregate for leisure in Uitenhage with its limited/ no recreational facilities. Die 'bads' needs to be fixed and re-opened.
Open the Uitenhage Pools - this is one of the warmest summers and a time for the kids to cool off in the water. Not everyone can afford to go to the beach. Start spending metro money for a cause that has no political affiliations - for our children!
We really need our pool back... Our kids are overheating in this heat and the swimming pool is the only little pleasure they have to cool down and have fun with the family, as pools in PE is very far to travel too
Not everyone has the means to get to the beach, thus the need for this pools to be open... Many a past champions learned to swim at the Rosedale Swimming Pool

Today it hit home when I saw a group of 8 boys swimming in a stream accross Willow Dam...and all I could think is "This is not right!"...and though I can drive to McArthur Pools...I live in UTH...I don't have a pool at home...I would love to take my nephew and nieces to our "Bads" and have a picnic...
