Each year thousands of people are attacked whilst at Night Clubs and Pubs. Fatalistic one punch attacks can leave people paralysed or can even result in death. However most of the injuries sustained from these attacks come from the victims head hitting the cement outside the Club or Pub. I have spent this week reading through the stories you all have left in the comments and the pain people have endured is heartbreaking. Knowing that a simple change in flooring could prevent another family from suffering this same tragedy keeps me determined to see this through.

Seeing this level of support brings back memories of my own close call and reminds me why I started this. The momentum behind our demand for safer surfaces is incredibly heartening. We are finally starting a serious conversation about preventing these life-altering injuries.

Good idea. Also limit the amount of alcohol that can be served to an individual
Great idea Kate! This idea could really help decrease the casualties caused by one-hit-punches.
Good stuff. Its cheap enough that pubs shouldnt have an excuse not to do it.
Seen way too many fights outside the local bars lately. Falling on concrete is no joke. Hope this actually happens.

It seems a great idea and well within the realms of economic and practical feasibility.Does the data concerning the location of these cowardly acts of violence prove that most of these injuries do occur so close to these venues?
