As concerned parents with children within the year 1 cohort, we appeal to our school administration and board. There is a growing concern regarding the proposed plan to rearrange all classes within this group. It is well-documented that stability and consistency during early schooling years are crucial. According to a study by The Children's Society in the UK, changes in a child's school environment can cause stress and anxiety, potentially negatively impact their academic progress and emotional well-being (The Good Childhood Report, 2019). Given these potential ramifications, the decision should not be taken lightly. We urge the school to reconsider, and instead, respect and maintain the current classroom arrangements for children in the year 1 cohort, whilst also finding alternative ways to address the issues that have led to this decision. Please stand with us in prioritizing childhood stability. Sign the petition today.
Disappointed with the way this has been handled - we have not been engaged or consulted with throughout the process especially when it concerns our children. We are keen to understand how the school has arrived as this being the only effective solution particularly when it involved disrupting 90 children. We are therefore opposed to the reshuffle.
