This online petition is in regards to the proposed annexation of the Ashcroft Valley (204.081 acres on the Adams Property) that would border the Cedarmont, Cross Creek and Franklin East communities.
The issue of required connectivity is opposed by our communities. If there becomes full connection (as the developer is proposing), Cross Creek would be fully connected to Franklin East, the new October Park subdivision, Ashcroft Valley (383 new homes), Falcon Creek (hundreds of homes), the new Simmon's Ridge (408 townhouses & homes with the first phase ranging in size from 1,569 square feet to 1,950 square feet.), and any other new development south of that. All these subdivisions are required to connect.
By signing this petition, you are in agreement that we want to keep Cross Creek Dr & Biltmore Ct. closed in order to keep our neighborhoods private and safe for all residents. Stand with us to keep fighting against high density housing pouring into our county road.
Neighborhoods from I-65 to Arno Road will be effected. We hope the city of Franklin will take the necessary steps and vote against the dangerous connectivity of these developments to our neighborhoods. Help us raise awareness of these concerns about the long term consequences of the annexation.
- Traffic Congestion: Our subdivision will become "pass-thru routes" for more than 1,000 new homes. Our existing two lane roads will not be able to withstand this growth and our neighborhood does not have sidewalks for our residents on foot. This would be too dangerous to allow this to happen.
- Terrain & Blasting: The property potentially being developed contains a diverse terrain and three high-volume gas lines.
- Educational Infrastructure: The integration of more than 600 estimated students into an already saturated Page school system will cause a strain on the excellent Williamson County school district.

I spent the entire morning looking over the planning maps again and honestly my head is spinning because the sheer amount of traffic they expect to push through our quiet streets is just not realistic for these roads. It feels like every time I check my email there is another weird zoning document to parse but I am determined to get a meeting with the planning office soon to show them exactly why these connections are a disaster waiting to happen.

I really thought this might just be a small neighborhood gripe but seeing so many people from across the county joining in has been wild. It honestly makes me feel a bit less crazy for worrying about the traffic on these tiny two lane roads all the time.

The proposed road on Warren will reap havoc on my leach fields and the influx of traffic is a danger to pedestrians and animals. It's an ill conceived project with no regards to the residents of Valley View, Franklin East or Cross Creek.
Ridgeway Dr was not designed wide enough to handle 1,000-2,000 cars a day. Most of the home owners have brick mailboxes & there is no extra room.We have 2 blind curves that appear as your climb our street, on coming traffic always takes yr breath away.
In addition to my concerns for the traffic and congestion I believe the blasting in that area will lead to cracking foundations, septic system issues and flooding concerns that will be costly. I would like to know how the builder will address damages to my home that will likely occur.
For all the reasons cited, this proposed development is a terrible idea: ecologically, educationally due to an already overcrowded school system, from the perspective of traffic, as well as from a safety standpoint due to the proximity of high volume gas lines.
I am opposed to the annexation of the property in order to bypass the Williamson County lot size requirements. Without direct access to Hwy 96, this subdivision's 2500+ vehicle movements a day will gravely effect the traffic flow of 3 subdivisions.
This proposed development will add to the over density issue we face in traffic and burdening of our over crowded schools. It does not match our neighborhoods in house size or lot size.. In order for the city of Franklin to approve this development they have to grant an exception to nearly every ordinance, zoning requirement and rule required to get a subdivision approved. The entire local community is opposed to it and the only people in favor of it are the ones that will make an enormous profit and not have to suffer the affects of this poorly conceived project.
This feels like will add an overload of traffic to Hwy 96 as well as our school systems and does not seem congruent to the current home sizes and value in this area of town. Having recently moved here, it would be incredibly discouraging to see this development move forward as we decided to move to this side of the highway for more space, less traffic, and the excellent schools with moderate student to teacher ratio's

I and several other walk this neighborhood for health reasons. Please do not bleed more cars through us making it even more unsafe than it already is.
