This proposed development will add to the over density issue we face in traffic and burdening of our over crowded schools. It does not match our neighborhoods in house size or lot size.. In order for the city of Franklin to approve this development they have to grant an exception to nearly every ordinance, zoning requirement and rule required to get a subdivision approved. The entire local community is opposed to it and the only people in favor of it are the ones that will make an enormous profit and not have to suffer the affects of this poorly conceived project.

This feels like will add an overload of traffic to Hwy 96 as well as our school systems and does not seem congruent to the current home sizes and value in this area of town. Having recently moved here, it would be incredibly discouraging to see this development move forward as we decided to move to this side of the highway for more space, less traffic, and the excellent schools with moderate student to teacher ratio's

All of us living surrounding this proposed addition are here because we like the open area, low traffic and quality of life. This proposed subdivision will not only change all of the above but greatly reduce our property values.
It seems the City of Franklin is trying to impose their wishes on those of us not within their city limits just for monetary reasons. It appears that the City of Franklin has not allowed, or put any restrictions, on what a developer wants. Example is the new Carothers Corridor.

If this new subdivision becomes a reality and Warren Rd. becomes an access, the changes to the road itself will reduce aesthetic value as well as property value. Warren Rd. is narrow and bordered by rock ridges on both the high and low sides. Excavation and fill would be necessary with retaining walls of some sort creating unacceptable frontage for homeowners on both sides of the road. I am opposed to a cut-through that involves Warren Rd.
My second opposition to a Warren Rd. cut-through is the additional traffic at the Warren Rd/Cedarmond blind intersection as well as the Cedarmont/Arno intersection. Both intersections are already difficult to navigate at high traffic times and would become increasingly so with additional vehicles attempting to reach 96.

I live in a neighborhood across the street, and besides other issues, the added traffic would not benefit this area of Franklin. Please move the plans for this subdivision to a less crowded piece of land.

For this size sub division they need their own access on 96 and not Ridgeway Drive. The traffic will multiply by a factor of 100 times. Our Road and area was not designed to handle this increase in traffic.

I have a some questions for everyone who believes in what this petition stands for;
1. For those who were not born and raised here, what if the citizens of Franklin banded together to stop your home or subdivision from being built?
2. I know you didn't buy your home to eventually lose money if you ever sell so why would you be offended by land owners and developers profiting off of a new development? Unless you built your home on your family owned undeveloped wooded or farmland, you too contributed to the profits of a land owner and developer.
3. Yup, traffic stinks. It probably stunk when you moved to this area. Probably not as bad as it does now but guess what, you live in one of the best and fastest growing areas in the country so it's gonna get worse before it gets better. Our county officials know the population of Franklin will triple within the next 30 years and have identified dozens of expansion projects to reduce congestion. It won't happen over night. Did you think traffic would improve the day after you moved here?
I'm a transplant from a dairy farming community in the flatlands of Illinois who is just greatfull to have been blessed with the means to provide a better life for my family. Why not take this "not in my backyard" mentality and refocus on what it means to be a good neighbor. Life is too short....
