The developers at the planning board thought we would just sit back and let them destroy our neighborhood without a fight. This massive surge of support proves they were dead wrong and we are just getting started.

I'm not opposed to development, but this proposal is wildly inappropriate for its location. Saving the facade is an appropriate goal, but multiple units on that small parcel is not the answer. This proposal does not fit the character of the surrounding neighborhood and is misuse of historic preservation zoning.
I'm not opposed to development and restoring the dilapidated house into a structure of its former glory that is appropriate on that lot and befitting of the neighborhood, but putting in 3 buildings for 11 units is NOT complimentary or appropriate in this neighborhood.
I am strongly opposed to the development of a village proposed at 50 Pleasant St. Not only does it not fit in with the character of the existing neighborhood and impinges on privacy and well being of the abutters but the added traffic would cause a serious safety concern, drainage problem as well as destroying the natural landscape and vegetation in the area.
Absolutely opposed!! The consequences to the surrounding single-family owned properties would be highly detrimental and completely out of character for our neighborhood. We are zoned as single-family for this very reason; so as to not allow developers to come in, make a mess and walk away. Not on our street, not in our neighborhood, No Way!
I strongly oppose this proposition. It feels like a dishonest use of the historic laws that are meant to keep our town tied to its significance and beauty. I'd like to be apart of a community that says no to people making excessive amounts of money on real estate loop holes while others feel the consequences in their daily lives.
Just reduce the size! How about 1 Building with 3 condos? Stop the madness!

The road going back and forth in front of this property, as well as the feeder roads are already so jammed in the morning and afternoon commutes. Adding these condos is just a bad idea! The roads and the neighborhoods surrounding - not to mention the apple farm - just cannot withstand this growth.
