We the undersigned, hereby go on record as being in strong support of the proposed change to Chapter 4, Article III of the Code of DeKalb County, to reduce the hours that alcohol may be served in DeKalb County, GA. to 2am on weeknights and midnight on Sunday nights. This change will have numerous positive effects on the county including: - Potentially reducing the number of DUI offenders in DeKalb County since late-night drinkers from other jurisdictions will not be induced to come to DeKalb to continue their drinking ; - Allow law enforcement to concentrate on residential areas instead of having to patrol areas with late-night drinking establishments;

The increase in support has captured the attention of local county commissioners who have agreed to review our proposal. I am currently finalizing a formal briefing document to present at the next planning session.

Too many drunk drivers on the road late at night. My kids have to be on those roads early for school. Fix this.

Finally. The noise and the cars speeding through my neighborhood at 3am has gotta stop. It is way too much.

About time. Police have better things to do than babysit grown adults at 3am.

Living right by one of these bars is a nightmare. I have to be up for work at 5 and the screaming in the parking lot never ends before 4. Keep it closed earlier so we can sleep.

Makes total sense. We dont need people flooding in here from other counties just to stay out till sunrise. Enough is enough.
