I have spent the last few days meeting with local board riders to talk about how this museum will protect our surf history for the next generation. The council is still weighing their options between more courts or our vision for Oxley Beach. We are keeping the pressure on because this land belongs to our community culture.

Best surf lessons ever back in 2010, teaching my 5yr old son Bowen. We live in the UK but I was brought up in PM, you boys deserve to create a tourist attraction on Oxley beach!
Port Macquarie really needs this site to house the History of Surfing in the Port / Hastings area. many ole local surfers have spent thousands of hours volunteering at pop up shop to temporay show all the exhibits collected/ donated over the past 6 or so years. will become a great attraction to our special town.
This will be a Tourist Atttraction! Tourists won't come to Port to play Pickle Ball & plenty of tennis courts around.
This would be a significant addition as a home to the history n tourism of Port Macquarie and the innovators of the sport from our local area, not to mention the local surfing champions.
Please approve this wonderful community facility, Port Macquarie is known globally for its beaches and surfing. This facility would be the perfect location directly opposite Town and Oxley beaches. A great tourist attraction for the town.
These surf museums are now becoming iconic internationally. Overseas surfers, when visiting love to see the history.

Let's see a balance in the community and contribute to the history of Port by providing this space for the surfing museum to establish a permanent venue to showcase this everlasting and future culture of the area. I lived in Port as a teenager and the surfing culture was Port, so let's give it a space right near the beach for all to share.
