As of the 31st of December the Pop-up Co-op lease will end. The business has supported over 50 small businesses in the area over the past 12 months in a building that was vacant for 5 yrs prior to the lease commencement, and would like to continue supporting small business get a head start in the retail industry.
This petition will help the founders of Pop-up Co-op to gain support and obtain the vacant property on Terralong St that once was the Mitre 10. There are countless reasons why this building will be ideal for the business to continue trading. We support small business, we bring tourism, we generate a forever evolving shopping experience for locals, just to mention few…

Seeing this kind of energy for the space makes me believe we can actually turn that empty building back into a home for our local creators. I never imagined this many people would care about keeping our small businesses thriving on Terralong Street.

The pop up co-op has been a great asset to raising funds for our Cambodian charity in the last 12 months .We pay 4 teachers and support over 100 students with educational resources with funds raised.Having a store in a central position would be a great benefit to us.
I am one of the small businesses on board at the co op and I think the continuation of the co op would definitely help bring more tourist into kiama just as the Huskisson one did for that region . There is no real shopping experience like the co op and it is becoming a very popular place for all walks of life shopping to find that something a little different to remember their trip to our region .

I would hate to see the local small businesses of Kiama loose their opportunity to get a start. The entire shop is amazing and not only is it a retail area but it shows the diversity of our local artists. A move to the old Mitre 10 store would showcase our small local Business to thousands of tourists and more encouragingly to our locals. A Business and Hobby Interest that has potential to launch a huge successful business and/or Inspire that Individual whom dreams of amazing ideas that has not yet had the courage to try until they recognize this opportunity.
