To provide training oppportunties to anyone in the community, particularly school leavers, who are seeking further learning experience with the convenience in doing so locally. Could the 'Pye' building (across from Waihi Central School) be the ideal location for a Wintec campus?
Quite possibly, currently there are already computer courses operating there and this could easily expand, facilitating 4-6 more rooms for courses. Examples of some courses that could be held at the the polytech.

YES. Keep our youth in town so they dont have to leave to get a trade. About time someone focused on this.

Waihi really needs this. Kids here have to travel way to far for training and its just not fair. The Pye building is sitting right there doing nothing anyway.
