Vauxhall Neighbourhood Council (VNC) owns and manages the Vauxhall Millennium Centre on behalf of the local community, to provide a range of essential services and facilities such as legal advice, adult education and training, community meeting spaces, as well as function suites for hire. We consulted with local residents and stakeholders to identify what services you would like us to deliver, the results identified the need for more employability support and training, along with improved ICT and office facilities for local community groups and businesses.
VCN is applying to the Veolia Environmental Trust for support to enable us to improve the facilities at the Millennium Centre as you requested, by redeveloping unused spaces to deliver a brand new Community ICT Suite, new office spaces and a community training space with digital broadcasting capabilities for online training. I honestly did not think this would take off like it has when I first started typing it up on my laptop but wow the energy here is just incredible. People keep telling me they really need these facilities and it makes all the late nights filling out grant forms feel completely worth it. Just wait until the council sees how many of us are actually pushing for this digital suite because things are finally starting to look real.

A brand new Community ICT Suite, office spaces and a community training space with digital broadcasting capabilities for online training would make a huge difference. I fully support it.
The VNC supports a lot of people in the community from advice services for unemployed and young people
i was brought up in this area and understand how much the centre means to the community
This centre has been in the area for 30 years and the law centre helps so many people
I support this project as this area is one of the most deprived and needs additional support
Good luck, this place deserves it.
