In the Plano Independent School District Dress Code, it states that there shall be no ripped jeans, or no unnatural hair colored extensions (purple, blue, red, pink etc.). Too many of us have been pulled aside, and have had to call our parents so they can bring up clothes. Too many of us have had to wash out the colorful streaks in our hair, or to take them out. We are sick of not being able to express ourselves with colors in our hair, or rips in our jeans. We would like to propose this small change in the Dress Code.

I never thought so many people would actually care about the hair color rule or the jeans and honestly it feels surreal to see this kind of momentum building up. It is just nice to know I am not the only one annoyed by sitting in the office waiting on parents to drop off spare pants because of a few rips.

RIDICULOUS. school is for learning not policing our clothes. nobody cares about blue hair except the admins.

my daughter got dress coded for a tiny rip in her jeans that was barely visible. waste of everyone's time during school hours.
