Final supporters
Proposals are due to be submitted to erect a 44 foot high mobile telephone mast and an equipment cabinet on the grassed area on Fairfield Crescent in Newhall, Swadlincote.
The potential affects of these types of mast must surely make siting them in an area so close to so many houses and a school a cause for concern. With a significant number of mobile phone masts already in the local area, are more really necessary?
This is an area used by people of all ages, including dog walkers, and children playing, and although the planners have chosen to site the mast close to a group of tall trees, the mast is still unsightly in what is a pretty and attractive residential area.
We urge you to object to this mast, and also support our efforts to suggest any future applications are planned in non-residential sites.

The massive surge in support proves this community refuses to let these companies dump their ugly infrastructure right next to our homes and school. These planners clearly underestimated our resolve but they are finally forced to pay attention now.

We already have enough of these monstrosities in swadlincote. stop ruining the view and affecting our property values.
its unsightly and unnecessary. i walk my dog there everyday and dont want some big metal eyesore looming over the grass.
44 foot is way too tall for a quiet street like this. keep it away from our homes.
Why not put this in an industrial estate instead of right in the middle of a family neighborhood? Seems like laziness by the planners.
THINK OF THE CHILDREN!! Right near a school?? Absolutely not. Find somewhere else.
