We, the residents of Queensbridge Houses are asking for your support in helping us petition for the restoration and revitalization of our beloved Queensbridge "Baby Park".
Seeing this much momentum behind the restoration of the Baby Park shows how much this space really meant to our neighborhood. The path ahead feels heavy and long but knowing I am not fighting for this alone gives me the resolve to keep pushing.

I am definitely in full support of the petition because the baby park holds so many memories of me and my team it was the only basketball court we could play games and act out our dreams of the NBA players we admired because the courts were lower than regulation courts and we could dunk the ball and many of us were dunk masters.

I was born in raised in Queensbrige.1962. I have so many great memories of the Baby park. It was a place where we all came together in played. Had so much fun. Give the children today a opportunity that the children of QB deserve.

When I was a baby growing up in QB we had plenty of areas to play in but as time went on I have seen how the baby areas got pushed out and the basketball court became the dominant in the parks ... We do need to preserve a area for the babies to play and learn how to get along with each other and this will also help parents to identify who is of the community Especially if a child waunder off and become lost someone in the community will get that child back to his or her parent... Preserve the Park for the babies..

This beloved park is a historical landmark for our Community. I went to Pre-kindergarten in this park. There was actually a school house, handball courts, and playgrounds for toddlers. It hurts me to see it being used as a "dumping ground", and no one has yet to invite members/residents for a sit down to have input into what they are doing back there. This is our HOME, and we need to be involved/consulted on all new developments happening in our Community.
