To the Greenbrook HOA:

We, the undersigned residents and community members, respectfully request the immediate opening and maintenance of the underpass path by San Ramon Creek ben Greenbrook Drive.

Currently, Greenbrook Drive presents a significant safety concern for families, children, and pedestrians who must cross this busy street to continue along the greenbelt and access schools, parks, and community spaces. With increasing traffic, it is unsafe and unrealistic to expect young children and walkers to cross without protected infrastructure.

The existing underpass path provides the perfect solution:

• Safety for Children and Families: Kids walking or biking to school, playgrounds, or friends’ homes could do so without the dangers of heavy traffic.

• Encouragement of Healthy Lifestyles: Walkable routes encourage outdoor activity, exercise, and community connection.

• Environmental Benefits: Safe, walkable routes reduce car trips and promote greener, more sustainable choices.

• Community Connection: The underpass would knit our neighborhoods together, giving families on both sides of Greenbrook Drive a safe way to meet, play, and gather.

We believe the safety of our children and neighbors must be a top priority. By opening the Greenbrook Drive underpass path, the HOA will demonstrate its commitment to protecting families, encouraging active transportation, and building a stronger community.

We urge you to take swift action to make the underpass open and accessible for public use.
