Hondo Enterprise the Landlord of Brixton Market introduced recently increased service charge for the traders
We need to take steps to protect the ongoing viability of our business, our employees and customers during this crisis.
The disruption from Covid-19 has impacted on people’s ability and willingness to continue to shop and visit the market. The Footfall to our stores has significantly reduced and trading has been adverserly impacted
During this difficult time, it is important to have the support from our Landlord, as currently the footfall to the market is virtually minimal it is not understandable why Hondo Enterprises is increasing the service charge and you can image this is very difficult for small traders.
Therefore for this reason it is legitimate to get a discount on service charge until we resume to normal circumstances. During the lockdown most of the market staff been furloughed and not present. Reduced chemicals been used to clean the market. This lockdown period should
have no service charge at all.
We need to stay as viable business and we need the landlord to assist us. We propose a 50% discount for Rent from July – September 2020
We want to work together to ensure we can survive this crisis and our business is able to continue to pay rent and other costs in the future.
Reduce not increase service charge and rents!!!

During the covic 19 already difficult to run the business . Sale already 1/3 . Even sustained business are big job . In that difficulty time increase the service charges unbelievable. Please consider your situation. Thank you
Hi all, I believe in a fair decisoon to help anout Lambeth my community and the Brixton Village deserves all the support in these unprecedented times their profit was hit due to the decreased number of consumers shopping in non-essential shops and various others . They need support and reduction in their rent and service charges as it will help sustain their business longer until this covid-19 situation ends as it sis impact the long-run of businesses even bigger ones so in order for Lambeth to protect the small business they need to step in and help .
Since the government enforced the 3 month lockdown , it has been a struggle since reopening customers vists declined which affected profit , this has made it difficult to cover rent ,service charge and expences . Any help would be appreciated in these unprecedented times .
Times are really hard right now and we can really use the discount to stay open and continue trading
it will be good to have that written off too.
Asking landlords for a reduction of 50% for rent and service charges for the next 3 months. And no service charges during lockdown.
Please help the traders they need your support more than anything, if you Need money rent all the empty shops

This discount in rent and lease would really help ease the burden, anxiety and stress we are currently experiencing. Knowing that Hondo has our backs would make all the difference to the real possibility of whether we survive this or not
