Petition to change the Street Parking Covenants in Driftwood Phase 2 Subdivision
Whereas many residents in Driftwood Estates Phase II are desirous of amending the current rules regarding parking within our neighborhood. As a result, we the owners who reside within said subdivision do hereby petition and request that the Driftwood Estates Phase II Homeowner's Association Board and currently contracted management firm cause to be drafted an amendment to that effect:
As a signee of this petition, it is my desire to demonstrate to the Driftwood Estates Phase II Homeowner's Association Board and it's affiliates that I support this change and am willing to vote for said amendment with the following stipulations:
- The amendment should allow street parking within the neighborhood for at least during the hours of 5:00PM and 10:30PM, but it would be preferable that we only limit parking to "no overnight street parking." Weekend parking allowed from 11am to 10pm
- As to not block access of emergency vehicles or the like, the proposed amendment should restrict street parking to one side of the street on any given day. Ultimately, it would be more desirable to alternate which side of the street can be used for street parking. For example, odd number dates, parking be allowed one side of the street, and even number dates the opposite.
By signing this petition, I solemnly swear and promise that I OWN property within the Driftwood Phase II Subdivision located in Walton County Florida, AND HAVE a right to vote in matters associated with the same.
PLEASE USE YOUR LEGAL NAME AS HOW IT IS LISTED ON YOUR PROPERTY DEED. AND EMAIL FROM MY GREEN CONDO.

I am currently organizing the feedback from neighbors to present to the board. The volume of input confirms that our current parking rules are not working for anyone.

What about Medical help that comes to houses that are not allowed to park in driveways. This needs to be considered.
Park in driveway (not crossing sidewalk) if that is available. No overnight street parking. Food trucks should be allowed, without a fee, one night a week.
It’s possible that only my maiden name is with the HOA as I’ve tried numerous times to update information with the management company (by phone and in person) and get no response.
I think if there is an opportunity to change the wording before this is presented, that on the weekends parking should be allowed from say, 9 AM to 10 PM for people that are having parties on weekends. Thank you for doing this!
Food trucks and Ice cream trucks should be allowed as they’re not left unattended and can move in the event of an emergency or as needed!
In favor of amendment,
No overnight parking, ice cream trucks and food trucks should be allowed with no additional fees.

I totally agree with the petition We can’t invite any one to our house Id very complicated
