Petition for no parking on one side of street at Sailors Quay entrance
As a resident of South Sailors Quay Dr, North Sailors Quay Drive or North Pier of Brick, New Jersey, I use the entrance and exit street which is named Sailors Quay Drive frequently. This short street connects to Hooper Ave.
This street has become in my opinion, a safety hazard because of the heavy traffic volume coming in and going out of the development. Because of cars parking on both sides of this street, the visibility of incoming and outgoing cars is impaired.
I believe that if the south side of Sailors Quay Drive is changed to a “no parking this side of street” zone, it would improve visibility for incoming and outgoing traffic, and make the area safer for everyone and prevent potential accidents.
We are asking the Brick Township Traffic Safety Department to assist us in making this happen.

This is particularly important for bikers, runners and walkers on that street. There are a few families with very young children right in that area, and it can be treacherous with cars parked on both sides.
I believe that this change would prevent accidents make the area safer for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers.
At times when there are cars SUV parking on both sides. It makes it hard to see entering into the association. Also If other cars are on there way out of the association.
I’ve had many close calls here because I wasn’t able to see cars turning. I would very much appreciate this matter to be taken seriously for the safety of everyone in the neighborhood. Thank you.
This is our only way in and out of our development for not only residents of Sailors Quay townhouses, but all the single family homes on North Sailors Quay. That is quite a bit of traffic daily. Cars parked on both sides of the entrance make it hazardous going in and out.
I believe there should restrict parking on our entrance street
I’ve had many close calls at this corner due to parked cars blocking my vision. I’d appreciate it if this is taken seriously because it is a safety concern for the neighborhood. Thank you.
